Fall to the Dragon
Below my lungs I feel you stir
Like a dragon waking
After centuries of slumber
Sitting on its mound of riches
The treasure of my guts
That I once used to stand up
To walk out of the door
While my heart screamed in protest
It beat a rhythm on my sternum
To show its anger there
Now it’s woken everything
It felt for you before
Radicalizing all my organs
Far away from the brain
That knows what it would mean
To take you back again
That thinking mass of gray
Is disconnected from the rest
Ignorant of the growing plot
Led by my rebel heart
A revolution in my chest
So heart would plunge us willingly
Into the dragon’s gaping maw
To be swallowed gratefully
By the vacuum of your touch
Losing all of me in process
It would be so easy
Such a tempting thing to do
Surrender my whole kingdom
To the anarchy of loving you
