Floating Words

Poetry from the core of me.

Same Old

I can’t handle knowing

That you’re still out there

Somewhere

Moving on

Tasting flavors that are new

While I’m here

With the same old tastes

Slowly going bland

You’re seeing new sights

While I’ve gone colorblind

I still hear your voice

Echoing at night

While I’m sure you sleep soundly

Next to someone else

Feeling that new touch

While yours still haunts my skin

I’m sure you’ve forgotten everything

While I remember all

Revisit every detail in the night

When I never cross your mind
