Bones Never Lie
Bones never lie
Not when spoken to
They aren’t like muscles
With their memories
Drilled in place by lies
Bones tell the truths
Imprinted on them by time
When questioned they will answer
With a solid honesty
The muscles will ask mind
Then they’ll go with heart
They are tools of the subjective
They feel instead of think
They are jealous of the bones
Know that they will be gone
Liquefied to dust, and ash
Long before the bones give up
Bones never lie
Because they are familiar
With eternity
